Two of the world's leading shipping companies, A.P. Moller-Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, have announced the launch of the new TP9 service under their Gemini Cooperation, focusing on Trans-Pacific trade routes.

The new service will connect East China and Northeast Asia with the Port of Long Beach in the United States. Notably, TP9 will offer a direct connection from Busan to Long Beach with a transit time of just 14 days, as well as a direct service from Xiamen to Long Beach with an 18-day transit time.

The TP9 service is designed to complement the carriers' existing Trans-Pacific network while strengthening supply chain resilience and stability through greater flexibility and improved schedule reliability. The service will operate on the following port rotation: Xiamen – Busan – Long Beach – Xiamen.
